On The Wind App Reviews

Love the graphics, bright colors and smooth flowing game. The only problem is the controls, wish there was a better way to control the leaves as they glide, my finger gets in the way, even if I use my left thumb. Its a pretty calming game :) recommend it to anyone who appreciates simple games like this! ❤

I like On The Wind for all the same reasons that I loved Tiny Wings: the one-touch game play, the constant action, the oh-so-gradually increasing skill that keeps it a challenge. The simple but colorful art has a pleasing, organic feeling that matches the graceful flocking of the leaves. I like how the music is generated by your performance. Is it music, or sound effects, or both? The developer recommends playing with your left thumb to improve visibility of whats coming up, so you have those crucial extra milliseconds to react. I dont have enough agility in my left hand for that. (This might be one of the few games where lefties have a distinct advantage.) Instead, I use a stylus in my right hand, held high up on the barrel so I can see better. Playing this game is almost like meditation. I pick it up when I need to release the tension in my thinking and open my mind. On The Wind is sure to become a classic once more people discover it.

Looks pretty but once you lose.. Theres just no point to play again

This game is amazing and looks so pretty. Unfortunatly my finger blocks where I want to see, the point at which Im collecting petals :( Try moving the active area a few pixels behind my finger so I can see the action of gathering petals. If you fix this control problem Ill 5 start it!

This game has potential, but only if you have incredibly small fingers. I can never see where Im guiding the wind and when the screen scrolls to the right, theres no time to even enjoy whats going on. A free trial wouldve been nice...

Really pretty idea. Nice to see innovative games. Unfortunately the large pixelated blocks used for the interface are distracting and almost in readable. Too bad they confound the smoothness so.

This game is a wonderful combination of the fluidity and grace of the modern world and with the retro, pixelated styles of the games we all know and love. It is simply inspiring. The season transitions are so fluid as the colors blend into each other. I highly recommend this app to anyone, young or old, sick or healthy, right- handed or left-handed, you all will surely love this game.

This game is SUPER relaxing, and great for those ready to go to bed. :D Now just an idea: How about adding progressive music? Where as you go along, more layers are added to the music. Shut off option for it too? Manipulate this idea to your will. :o

Great graphics and music, but I feel like the game shouldnt end after you beat winter. For a $1.99 its kinda steep for limited gameplay. Please update and add never-ending after winter. I would prefer to continue from season to season until I lose all the leaves. Thank you

Great concept, but not gameplay good yet. Very relaxing, nice sound. However you cant keep playing continuous. Seems need to fix this ASAP.

Controls are interesting bout it is not really comfortably

I was impressed by the idea, I know that is not unique, but the way u show it in is app is well. Im waiting for the developing of this project. And change the app icon, looks rather boring

Its beautiful and unique and the sound effects are pleasing, but I dont like the controls. I have a hard time seeing whats going on because my finger has to be right over the action, and I dont even have big fingers. That ruins it for me. The game also ends when you reach winter, so I can see it getting old fast. If I hadnt gotten it when it was free, I would be pretty disappointed.

There is nothing zen or soothing about the zen mode. It speeds up so much that all I find it is frustrating. The description is good but it does not holdup in the play. Also my hand gets in the way ,I cant see whats coming. Reversing the direction of play could solve that.

This game is one of the best indie games on the indie game market on ios. Very beautifully made and its very fun and i love how everytime i collect leaves that it makes a musical sound. Gotta love this game and it totally recommended for people who love beautiful games.
